Dee Bradley Baker is back! NEWS FROM SDCC

Word from Comicon is thus:

Dee Bradley Baker [Voice of Momo and Appa] came and did a whole bunch of animal sounds and talked a bit about Korra. He will be a part of that production but, understandably, could offer no other details. Well, actually, he did mention a few things, like that one of the Korra episodes had been recorded already, and that the new voice actor cast is full-stop awesome, but that was it.
For those of you keeping track, the original Crew (that we know of) returning will be: Mike, Bryan, Joaquim, Dee, and the amazing Soundtrack crew. If I'm missing any names there, please tell me! [Source was an attendee of SDCC]

And for our "Speculation" (since the source is an anon from 4chan, take of it what you will):
I come bearing gifts of information!
I was lucky enough to meet Mike and Bryan at this year's Comic Con. I had time for 2 questions.

Question 1:
I asked them if there would be guns in Korra, due to the presence of steampunk. They said "No, we want to avoid going down that road as much as possible."
No guns!

Question 2 (non Korra):
I asked them about the possibility of a blu-ray release for ATLA. They said there would be far too much work to pull off a blu-ray release. They said not to wait for it because it probably wont happen.

I'm tenatively calling that Speculation, but it sounds fairly accurate to me, regardless of whether or not it was actually said, I can't work guns into the A:TLA-verse (and Nick!) in my head. Thoughts about what will or won't appear in the new wave of industrialization in the A:TLA world, folks?

Also, we have another chibi sketch in a signing. [Check the comments]

Well, realistically, the watertribes don't really have the resources to embrace technology without importing it all. I mean, they live on giant blocks of ice. Haha. But I agree.

Yeah... :/ I didn't want to have to re-upload it, and didn't realize the link wouldn't work. Luckily Maritova uploaded it in all its gigantic glory down thread.

Yes well...It's still anon xD;

Omg. We could have a Zhuge Liang type character invent them.

lol Takeshi Kaneshiro Uh, yeah. He was the guy credited with the automatic crossbow in China. 8D If you've seen red cliff, the moment he invents it is amazing.

That would be pretty cool.

Make sure you get the International two-part version. Altogether it's about 5 hours or so, but it's STUNNING and the story/actors/camera work/fight scenes/etc are all amazing.

John Woo is on my list of people who should remake A:TLA in 5-6 years. lol (For reference, this film was made in China for 80 mil. TLA was 150 mil and comes nowhere near close the scale/drama/effects/etc of Red Cliff.)

It's my favorite movie. Worth the cash, because I've seen it 5-6 times and it's still riveting the nth+ time. :D

Obviously he's playing the cameo of all the ben ten aliens that will show up to invade the steampunk world, and Korra will beat them back with the power of the Avatar State...and ROCK! as in music

Neat news, that korra chibi is adorable, thanks!
